Depositing into your savings (members)

Pay the cooperative, upload your bank receipt, and see the deposit added once an officer confirms it.

MembersWeb

Save money with your cooperative by paying into its bank account, then telling the app about the payment with your receipt. Your savings go up once an officer confirms the money arrived.

Before you start

  • An officer must have opened a savings account for you, and it must be Active.
  • Make the bank transfer first, and keep the receipt as a photo or PDF (up to 5MB).

Nothing is added until it's confirmed

Submitting a deposit does not change your balance. It shows as Awaiting confirmation until an officer checks the cooperative's bank statement and approves it.

Declare a deposit

Go to CooperativesMy Savings and find the account you're saving into.
Select Make a Deposit. The cooperative's bank account details are shown, with a button to copy the account number.
Enter the Amount you paid and the Date of payment (it can't be in the future).
Attach your Bank receipt — a JPEG, PNG, GIF or PDF.
Optionally add the Transfer reference from your receipt and a Note for the officer.
Select Submit Deposit.

What happens next

Your deposit appears under My Deposits on the same page, marked Awaiting confirmation.

  • Confirmed — the amount is added to your balance, and you get a notification.
  • Not approved — nothing is added. The officer's reason is shown next to the deposit, and you also get a notification. You can submit a corrected deposit.

You can open the receipt you uploaded from the Receipt link beside each deposit.

Withdrawals

Members can't withdraw from the app. Withdrawals are recorded by an officer — see Recording deposits and withdrawals. Savings held against an active loan can't be withdrawn at all until the loan is repaid, see Your savings rule and held savings.
